Overview
The Office for Disability Issues is seeking to commission a project to set competencies for New Zealand Sign Language Interpreters. This will form part of a larger Interpreter Standards Framework which will include spoken language interpreter requirements. The interpreter competencies, post-graduation, will describe what is required in a range of settings including educational, legal and medical contexts.
