The Ministry of Social Development intends carrying out a refurbishment of three floors of an existing commercial office accommodation located in the Wellington region.
Expressions of interest from MAIN CONTRACTORS of suitable experience are sought to act as builder, and to co-ordinate the trades and services noted below. Parties are invited to register their interest to receive tender documents.
It is anticipated the tenders will be issued for pricing in late March 2018, with works starting in April 2018 with completion expected at the end of June 2018.
The works will include (but not be limited to) the following;
Demolition
Internal solid and glazed partitioning
Ceiling works
Painting & decoration
Custom joinery items
Electrical
Plumbing
Heating & ventilation
Alterations to existing fire systems
New flooring
Nominated trades will be used for data cabling & networking, security and glazing film. Other minor trades may be nominated at the Ministry's discretion.
To enable a short list of suitable Main contractors please provide:
• Details of experience particularly in commercial office fit-outs
• Examples of any previous work for the Ministry or other similar Government type offices.
• Details of your health and safety practices and polices
• Details of your building and licensed Building Practitioner qualifications
• Details of any sustainable building practices you have should be provided with your submission
Additionally, please provide an outline capability statement confirming the supplier’s capacity to provide suitable trade and management resources to undertake the project in accordance with the proposed programme. Capability statement is to also include details of current workload / work in progress.
