Overview

He nui te mahi tūkino tāngata i Aotearoa nei. Me mahi ngātahi te hapori whānui kia whai hurahi hei karo atu te tukino. Ki ta Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora, mā te whakarongo, mā te mahi ngātahi te tukino e oti!

New Zealand has among the highest rates of sexual violence in the developed world. Addressing this issue is a collective responsibility. It requires people, organisations and agencies to work closely together, to collaborate and innovate. Above all, it requires us to always listen and respond to the needs of the people and the whānau in our communities.

A problem is solved by continuing to find solutions

The Ministry is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified provider to deliver kaupapa Māori harmful sexual behaviour services at one pilot site within New Zealand. The Pilot will be a voluntary (non-mandated) service for adult clients and their whānau who have not been directed to attend a harmful sexual behaviour service by the court. The Pilot will run until 30 June 2019.

The provider must have Māori cultural and professional knowledge within the sexual violence sector as well as trusted and credible relationships with the Māori community in their delivery area.

Please subscribe to this Notice to get more information about the Pilot and the Ministry’s requirements. The tender documentation, including Request for Proposal and Service Guidelines, are at the bottom of the Notice.
