Overview

The SIU was established as a centralised function to advance and embed a social investment approach across the social sector, complementing investment activities already underway in a number of agencies.

This is a unique opportunity to change the way New Zealand's social sector data is shared. Leading the way internationally, the Data Exchange will enable agencies to control what data they share, when and with whom, securely and in near real time.

This RFP relates to the procurement of services i.e. the position of Lead, Data Infrastructure.

The Lead Data Infrastructure is responsible for developing an infrastructure that enables the flow of individual data from one system to another - to move and exchange data from those who collect it, to those who need it, and to support investment decision making in a safe and secure way.

We are seeking:
- a supplier with significant experience leading IT development projects, particularly with a strategic/creative opportunities lens
- proven capability to manage relationships, ideally in shared services space
- someone with experience leading transformational projects/programmes or experience within a 'start-up' organisation
- previous people leadership experience is required, especially at a senior/executive level
- a supplier with a solid understanding of both the machinery of government, and private and Non-Government Organisations.
