Overview

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) seeks to engage a provider(s) to undertake delivery of Work Preparation and Support Service in the Taranaki, Whanganui and King Country area from January 2016 to 30 June 2017.

The aim of this service is to support and motivate clients to participate fully and confidently in the next stage of their working lives; in education, in paid employment and in contributing to their wider community, by providing clients with the support to transition to paid employment aligned to their career aspirations and aimed at achieving long term economic independence and wellbeing for them and their family.

The primary target group will be Work and Income sole parent Job Seekers that have a fulltime work obligation due to their youngest dependent child being aged 14 years or over. Clients who are receiving Sole Parent Support with a part time work obligation who are seeking fulltime employment will also be eligible for this service.

We are seeking a service that covers the below key components:
• Pre-employment Preparation and Motivation – including motivation, self-awareness, overcoming barriers and viable plan to achieve career aspiration; and
• Employment Placement and Support including supporting the client into full-time employment of 30 hours per week or part-time employment of at least 15 hours per week followed by intensive post placement support for the client and employer.
