The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) seeks to engage a provider(s) to undertake delivery of the Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) programme in Auckland from 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2018.
The aim of the Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) programme is to promote and assist Work and Income clients into self-employment opportunities by preparing a Business Plan, providing essential information and skills that will assist participants to prepare for self-employment.
MSD is seeking providers with proven experience preparing Business Plans and preparing people for self-employment. They should have the ability to provide a service that addresses client’s individual needs and circumstances in order to support clients to move into self-employment as quickly as possible.
Successful providers will have a good understanding of the barriers to self-employment that people face, good networks and links with other organisations in the community that can help provide further support to clients as they enter and remain in self-employment.
