The Ministry of Social Development is a large national organisation, and delivers customer focused services in a safety conscious environment. We’re seeking to identify a learning provider that can offer tailored learning solutions to address specific areas of capability development, including:

• Situational awareness for both security purposes and supporting clients using the values of respect and dignity
• Personal reaction to stress and understanding stress in others / management of personal resilience / controlling emotions
• Identifying and managing the signs of stressors in others (includes aggressiveness, drug and alcohol and mental health issues)
• Tactical and technical techniques when dealing with possible physical and risk situations / security management in a variety of settings
• Emergency response techniques

We are looking at a staged approach, and are seeking a provider who can work with site trainers in several locations as part of an initial assessment of the how we can better support staff capability.

You will play a key role in designing an innovative training solution that will establish a new mind-set and culture that combines customer service, empathy, and engagement that works both for staff and our customers.

This is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a Registration for the ‘Customer Focused Safety & Security Learning Solution Project’ contract opportunity.

This ROI is the first step in a possible multi-step procurement process. Following evaluation MSD will select Respondent/s for this staged initiative. Should the Ministry see the value in the results from the staged approach a Request for Proposals (RFP) will be advertised for a regional / national rollout. This listing deals only with the first step i.e. the ROI process.
