This Request for Proposals (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a proposal for the BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA) ICT Replacement Solution contract opportunity.
This is a unique opportunity to support the national breast screening programme with technology solutions which will support improved equity in screening access, enhance screening participants’ experience and improve health outcomes for New Zealanders. The solution is critical for the successful delivery of breast screening services and will be used throughout the country to enable delivery of this national programme.
We are seeking (a) lead supplier(s) to deliver a solution to meet the requirements of the BSA programme including providing ongoing operational management and support of the solution.
Note that conceptually there are two components to the envisaged overall solution:
1. an extension to the existing Ministry’s National Screening Solution (based on Salesforce)
2. provision of Radiology Information System (RIS) capabilities.
The Ministry will consider proposals for either component in isolation but has a preference for suppliers to provide an end-to-end solution where possible. If an end-to-end solution requires suppliers to partner together, the proposal must describe the nature of the relationship between the suppliers and list one of the suppliers as the lead supplier. In the event of receiving proposals for both components (the RIS and Salesforce) the Ministry retains the right to select only one component from a specific proposal and to source the other component from another proposal.
