The New Dunedin Hospital Project (the ‘Project’) is being delivered by the Ministry of Health (the ‘Ministry’) and is a unique opportunity to be involved in the largest health-related building project undertaken in New Zealand to date.

To support the final development of the Detailed Business Case and the Procurement Strategy and to test the proposed procurement approach for the Project, the Ministry is undertaking a Market re-engagement and we invite construction contractors including main contractors, key sub-contractors and other relevant sub-contractors to participate. The re-engagement follows on from the initial market engagement which was undertaken in July 2019.

We will provide you, under a confidentiality and information exchange protocol, information including a high-level outline of the Project, Programme and Procurement approaches which will support an informed 1 ON 1 discussion with us.

We also wish to sound-check your interest and appetite to be part of the New Dunedin Hospital Project in the current climate.

Please note that the Project has two buildings (Outpatients and Inpatients) on different sites, although to be interconnected by a floating corridor we currently intend to procure each building separately.

Further information will be provided to registered parties who can demonstrate they meet the criteria set out in the attached Response Form.
