The Office of the Director General (ODG) receives, processes and presents information received by the Ministry using several different channels. The ability to effectively manage the workflow of the Government Service team (the Team) is critical to the Ministry’s ability to provide effective support to our Ministers and the wider public.
The Ministry needs effective monitoring and reporting capabilities that allow escalation and reporting to enable appropriate management of this work.
The current system solution in place is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of the Ministry.
The Ministry is looking to move to a solution that:
• Seamlessly manages the flow of work from Ministers Offices, through the Team, out to the rest of the Ministry and externally, back to the Team, and back to Ministers Offices (not all steps will happen in all situations)
• Manages due dates for work items and associated escalation activity
• Holds the supporting documentation for the managed activity within the solution
• Saves time when compared to existing (mostly manual) systems and processes
