The Ministry of Health funds disability support services through Disability Support Services (DSS) for people with a physical, intellectual or sensory disability. DSS is looking to provide better outcomes for people aged 17 and over (mainly under the age of 65), whose severely challenging behaviour is such that their established support networks are unable to sustain supports. DSS is investigating potential services to support this intention.
