The NHC has embarked on a significant programme of work and intends to commission a range of Health Technology Assessments and related services from external suppliers. In order to streamline the engagement process for both suppliers and the NHC, we intend to engage successful suppliers on a panel supply basis (a Panel).
The Ministry of Health will shortly issue (on behalf of the NHC) a Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting interested individuals and organisations to submit proposals to be appointed to the Panel. We anticipate that the RFP documents will be issued via GETS in the week beginning 15 June 2015.
The RFP will be a unique opportunity to be a part of the NHC’s panel of preferred external suppliers. The Panel will be limited to those providers with demonstrated specialist capability and capacity to undertake the services the NHC requires. It will be the NHC’s primary mechanism for commissioning HTAs and purchasing related services for the next four to six years.
As part of the RFP process the NHC will hold a series of briefing sessions for parties interested in responding to the RFP. Those sessions will cover the NHC’s requirements, how the Panel will work and the RFP process. Attending a briefing session is not mandatory. Please refer to the RFP documents for further details about the briefing sessions and RSVP requirements.
Please note that this notice replaces the Advance Notice issued on GETS by the Ministry of Health on 23 December 2014.
