1.1 The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) is inviting Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor level construction companies for a project which involves the weathertightness remediation of a 3 storey Science building (in 3 stages whilst occupied) at a school located in central Tauranga.
1.2 The building is a 3 storey structure and is comprised of light weight timber frame, steel frame and concrete tilt slab construction founded upon reinforced concrete foundations and concrete floor slab. The roofs are covered with factory finished curved corrugated metal that discharge to external metal box gutters and uPVC downpipes. Membrane roofs also exist. The existing cladding includes brick veneers, express jointed fibre cement and concrete tilt slab
