This notice is an Invitation to Qualify for the Ministry’s PQSL for Electrical Contractors. The Ministry has established and manages this PQSL in accordance with the Government Rules of Sourcing, Rule 53.

The Ministry requires all electrical work in schools to be undertaken by pre-qualified Electrical Contractors listed on the Ministry’s PQSL.

The current version of the PQSL and details on how to apply for pre qualification is published on the Ministry’s website at http://www.minedu.govt.nz/NZEducation/EducationPolicies/Schools/PropertyToolBox/StateSchools/Design/ElectricalWork.aspx

A single application form entitled “Electrical Contractors” is attached to this Invitation to Qualify. The application form contains a clear description of the specific goods, services, or works applicants must be capable of delivering.

An Electrical Contractor may apply to become an approved contractor on the PQSL at any time subject to the Ministry’s policy and procedures.

Engagement to undertake specific jobs / projects may either be directly by the Ministry, a specific school or directly by a main contractor or by a project manager.

This notice of procurement for a PQSL does not result in a contractual or legal relationship between the agency and the pre qualified Electrical Contractor.
