The Ministry of Education established an Early Intervention Services (EIS) Panel to contract with private providers and Non-Governmental Organisations delivering Speech‑Language Therapy and Educational Psychology services in August this year.
These services support children from birth through to the end of Year 1 of schooling with non-complex developmental, communication and behavioural needs.
Expanding the Panel remains a priority to ensure sufficient market capacity and capability across New Zealand and will enable the Ministry to continue to reduce service waitlists and improve equitable access to early intervention services for children and whānau.
This is a non‑value, non‑volume panel, and no minimum level of business or funding is guaranteed.
