A direct‑source approach was used to procure an existing Ministry‑approved Professional Learning and Development (PLD) offering from a current provider, without undertaking a competitive process. This approach was applied as a short‑term, interim solution to ensure continuity of PLD delivery for Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs) in Term 2, 2026.
The direct‑source arrangement mitigates service disruption while a comprehensive LSC PLD Framework is developed and tendered through an open‑market RFP process (GETS #33810335). The arrangement is time‑limited and does not extend beyond the establishment of the new framework.
