The resource development component of the Early Learning Oral Language project comprises the following three objectives:

1. Design and delivery of self-led professional development offerings that meet the needs of the sector in terms of training and practical examples of good oral language teaching practices for Kaiako in both English medium and Māori medium.

2. Design and delivery of resources for Home-based care providers to ensure all children in all services are getting the support of trained adults in a way that is consistent with Te Whāriki.

3. Design and delivery of resources for whānau to understand what they can do to support oral language in the home, with practical examples that meet the needs of diverse families. There should be a strong focus on developing resources to support whānau Māori.
