Registrations of Interest are sort from Main Contractor level construction companies for a project which involves temporary repairs to classrooms and ancillary accommodation.

The Ministry of Education anticipate that from this Registration of Interest process five applicants will be requested to provide a Tender for this project. All Registrations of Interest submissions are to include the completed questionnaire attached to this GETS listing. Company brochures and promotional documents are not required.

The Contract will be a short form construction contract with the Ministry of Education’s. Prendos New Zealand Limited will be the Principals Representative to the Contract.

Note: All Registrations of Interest are to include the completed questionnaire. Any submissions that do not include a completed questionnaire will not be accepted.


SCOPE OF WORKS

The general Scope of Works for the Project consists of the following. A specific programme indicating each stage of the project will be required as part of the tender submission.

• Installing new roof flashings.
• Modifications to air handling unit penetrations and connecting service pipes.
• Patch repair work to existing wall cladding.

TENDER PROCESS

This project will be run by Prendos New Zealand Limited on behalf of the Ministry of Education in accordance with the current New Zealand Government Rules of Sourcing.

This project will be procured through a two stage process as follows.

1. Registration of Interest (ROI):

Main Contractor construction companies are invited to respond to the GETS listing released on the Government Electronic Tenders Service website.

All GETS responses will be assessed against standard criteria indicated on the questionnaire with the respondents being shortlisted for progression to the next stage of the tender process against this criteria.

2. Tendering:

Tender documentation will be released electronically to the selected tenderers and detailed, priced tenders sought. The Tender period will be 10 working days, closing at 4:00pm on the tenth day. This will be a closed tender and all responses must be received in hard copy, addressed to:

All tender submissions will be reviewed in detail for compliance with the tender documentation by a Quantity Surveyor. This is a selective tender process, and the primary method of evaluation is cost and value.
