Overview

We are seeking to procure peer to peer teaching networks, subject associations, and communities of practice to form the Networks of Expertise (NEX).
NEX will offer support to grow and strengthen teacher capability through Professional Learning & Development (PLD) using a ‘for teachers, by teachers’ approach, with an emphasis on the Literacy & Communication and Maths Strategy, the curriculum, assessment and aromatawai change programme and NCEA change programme for years 11 – 13.
NEX will focus on eight learning areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Learning Languages, The Arts and Health & Physical Education), Early Learning, and Social Sciences.
Networks who can identify and engage with educators that may have low levels of professional support in their subject area (i.e., rural, and small schools, teacher aides) will also be considered for this opportunity.

UPDATE (31 January 2024):
We would like to share an update regarding the release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Networks of Expertise to support peer to peer teaching through PLD.

In a news item published on the PLD Website on 6 December 2023 we indicated our intention to release a request for proposals (RFP) in late January 2024. An Advanced Notice was published on the Government Electronic Tender Services (GETS) website (https://pld.education.govt.nz/news/an-update-on-the-networks-of-expertise-rfp/) on 13 December 2023 notifying current and potential suppliers of this opportunity.

We wish to advise that we will not be releasing this RFP during the timeframe that has been indicated.

Further updates will be provided as we are able to through our usual channels. If you have any questions, please email Christopher.Henckel@education.govt.nz and cc MOE.Procurement@education.govt.nz.
