The Ministry is using this Contract Opportunity process to make a recommendation to the Minister of Education as to who shall be appointed as the Dispute Resolution Scheme Operator. The objective of the scheme is to provide accessible, flexible, and effective resolution services for domestic tertiary learners to resolve contractual and financial disputes with their tertiary education provider. This provides an alternative to the court process, which could be costly and time-consuming, and might not help with preserving relations between disputing parties.
