The Ministry of Education New Schools and Kura Team (The Ministry) is seeking comprehensive design services for a new primary school at Takanini at (the School).
The Ministry is the owner of land located at 181 Walters Road, Takanini (South Auckland), on which it proposes to build a new school. The school is to be open for the 2017 school year.
The project comprises the design and construction of a full primary school (years 1-8) with a final roll of 700 students. The school is to be built in two stages. Stage 1 will comprise all infrastructure (library, administration, resource and hall) for 700 students and teaching accommodation for 350 students. This project is for Stage 1 only. A preliminary estimate of the gross floor area to be provided in Stage 1 is 2,865m2. In addition, a satellite unit for the Northern Health School will be included in the project, bringing the total gross floor area to 3,065m2.
The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) is inviting Proposals from Suppliers for the supply of comprehensive Architectural Design and Construction Monitoring Services for the design and construction supervision of Takanini New School # 1. The construction budget for this project is in the order of $17,000,000.
