Please see the attached advance notice for further information on the upcoming RFP for AoG Office Supplies.

In July 2010 the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), through its predecessor the Ministry of Economic Development, implemented an All-of-Government (AoG) solution for the supply of office consumables. This solution is due to expire in July 2015. MBIE intends to have a new solution for the supply of office supplies to All-of-Government in place by July 2015.

The new Office Supplies solution will consist of five panels of suppliers, for the following product categories:
• key office supplies
• washroom consumables
• cleaning and hygiene consumables
• ICT consumables
• educational supplies.

The scope of each panel will be detailed in full in a Request for Proposals (RFP). Respondents to the RFP:
• may bid for any combination of the panels;
• must have the capability and capacity to supply the entire range of products included in each of the panels they bid for;
• must supply to the whole of New Zealand if bidding for the key office supplies panel;
• may bid on a national or regional basis for panels other than key office supplies; and
• must be capable of supplying each entire region they bid for.

We are not seeking supply of ICT hardware, office furniture, coffee machines (or their consumables), water or milk. We are not seeking services, just the supply of products.

Personal protective equipment and specialised first aid products may be the subject of a separate RFP process in the future.

The purpose of this notice is to inform potential respondents of the nature and timing of the proposed tender process to support advanced planning (for example, allocating staff or holding discussions with potential partners).

No further information is available at this time. This is not a request for information from potential respondents and no response to this advance notification is required. Any information provided to MBIE at this stage will not be considered. MBIE will not, in general, enter into any communications before the publication of the RFP.
