This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information that will help Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (Ministry) determine its Requirements for the Determinations Technical Writers contract opportunity.
This work is for the Determinations team within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery at MBIE. This team provides end-to-end services for the management of Determinations under the Building Act 2004. Determinations are a quasi-judicial and tribunal function that provides a means of resolving disputes about whether particular matters comply with the Building Code or a Council’s exercise of certain powers of decision under the Building Act. A determination is legally binding on the parties.

This message is to acknowledge that we have received your submission and have forwarded it to the Determinations team within MBIE for their information and consideration.
As this was an RFI rather than a formal tender process, there will be no evaluation outcome or contract award resulting from this exercise. The next procurement phase is currently being planned, and at this stage we have not yet determined whether the market approach will be a closed or open tender process.
Rest assured that, should the procurement proceed, we will provide appropriate notice when the Request for Proposals (RFP) is released on GETS. The RFP will be the formal procurement process for Determinations Technical Writer contract award.
