Dear supplier, this procurement plan relates to the purchase of research services and your organisation has been selected as having the suitable expertise and are invited to participate in this closed tender through the AoG Consultancy panel. The Migration, Workforce and Workplace Domain require a research supplier to run the Migrant Surveys 2026, 2027 and 2028.

The purpose of the Migrant Survey is to gather information on migrants’ settlement experiences, labour market outcomes and satisfaction with living in New Zealand. This data informs our understanding of the experiences of those who have recently migrated to New Zealand, how these experiences differ for different types of migrants, and how these experiences change over time.

The key objective of this procurement is to get MBIE the best value for money for outsourcing the data collection and delivery of the Migrant Survey through a competitive process. Supplier responses will be assessed on the quality of their proposed solution, their capability to deliver and overall cost. Procuring these services is the most effective way to meet MBIE’s needs, as it supplements existing internal resources and expertise in areas such as questionnaire design, sampling and stakeholder engagement.
