The New Zealand Institute of Advanced Technology ("NZIAT") is a new Crown Entity whose purpose is to connect researchers, industry, and investors - unlocking insights that drive scientific discoveries in advanced technologies for real-world impact and economic growth. NZIAT currently has a shared-services arrangement with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (including for ICT services in-scope of this RFQ process), however MBIE has confirmed this arrangement will not be available long-term and NZIAT is now progressing the establishment of its own supply arrangements in order to ensure continuity of services.

This procurement relates to the provisioning and ongoing support of End User Devices to enable NZIAT to operate as an independent Crown Entity. The scope includes provisioning of devices and ongoing support for the hardware and M365 tenancy (Foundation Technology). From a delivery perspective there is a dependency on provisioning of End User Devices to enable the completion of the NZIAT Foundation Technology implementation, which is out-of-scope for the purposes of this RFQ as an earlier procurement process has been run to select a partner to deliver this scope.
