This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for independent building and construction professionals and/or organisations to provide and/or support the efficient and effective assessments of Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) applications. The LBP scheme is an occupational licensing regime administered by the Occupational Regulation team at Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). The LBP scheme is responsible for ensuring LBPs are competent by assessing that applicants to the scheme meet the minimum competency standards.
Individuals who wish to become LBPs are assessed by an assessor who is contracted to the Occupational Regulation team. Assessors are technical experts who hold a licence and/or have relevant experience in the licence class they are assessing.

Further Award Information:
After completing an open tender procurement process, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) of 15 Stout Street, Wellington, is pleased to confirm the appointment of the 20 respondents to the panel of LBP Assessors.
The term of the contract is for five (5) years and the approximate total expected spend across the ENTIRE PANEL is $1,600,000.
