The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is aiming to lease a number of prefabricated fully self-contained, studio, one and two- bedroom relocatable Portable Cabins (Cabins) to be used by residents displaced from their homes as a result of the recent civil emergencies (Auckland Flooding and Cyclone Gabrielle in January and February 2023). We expect to enter into leases with numerous providers.
The Cabins are expected to be required in the Hawke’s Bay region and specifically in Wairoa and possibly required in Tairāwhiti, Auckland and Northland. Your offering must include delivery.
Under an emergency exemption from the Government Procurement Rules, we are looking to expedite the procurement process and engage provider(s) immediately. We will evaluate responses as they come in between the open and close date and intend to enter into contract discussions and negotiations with the respondents who at face value meets MBIE’s needs.
