In July 2010 the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), through its predecessor the Ministry of Economic Development, implemented an All-of-Government (AoG) solution for the supply of office supplies. The Generation Two solution was established in 2015 through a contract which is set to expire in July 2021.

MBIE intends to issue a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) in mid-November 2020, in order to have a Generation Three solution for AoG office supplies in place by July 2021.
