New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP), a branch within the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE), has initiated a project to establish a Government Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programme. NZGP requires a provider with proven experience in global best practices to support the Project Team to establish a world class programme. The provider will support the Project Team to:
a) Develop functional standards and collateral to lift capability within agencies and improve consistency across the system
b) Undertake a current state assessment of relationships with up to 50 suppliers as a baseline for improvement and further investment in the programme
c) Implement SRM with two cross-government suppliers to confirm the delivery model and demonstrate the value proposition of a coordinated approach to SRM, and how it can deliver benefits to government
d) Support the Project Team to develop the strategy, roadmap and business case for further investment to deliver the programme.
This is an opportunity to showcase your expertise in global best practice to influence more than $11B per annum in government expenditure and gain credibility with New Zealand’s procurement leaders. Your services will support the government and its supply chain to prepare for major disruptions, such as pandemics or earthquakes, and reduce the impact on delivery of essential services and goods during these events. You’ll get the chance to demonstrate how SRM can deliver greater public value and improve social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for New Zealand.
