Overview

MBIE operates occupational licensing regimes which use online services to maintain records of registration/licensing and associated ongoing professional development requirements. Our existing systems are reaching end of life and as part of a larger replacement project based on Power Apps we are seeking to procure a continuing professional development system to support the relicensing process.
Consumer Protection and Standards (CPAS) gathers practitioner information about a person’s competency training (or continuous professional development (CPD)) for licensed building practitioners (LBP), immigration advisors (IAA), and electrical workers (EW).
The initial solution will support the replacement of three discrete licensing workflows (for Licensed Building Practitioners (LBPs), Immigration Advisors (IAAs) and Electrical Workers (EWs), with varying numbers of users (between 1,500 and 35,000). The user will provide a record of CPD completed through the system as well as a portfolio of submitted work done outside the system that can be used as evidence of competence. The user profile will be integrated with Power Apps in order to maintain registration records. Recognition of the completion of CPD requirements in the Power Apps will allow a practitioner to complete their renewal through a Power Apps Portal.
