MBIE wishes to understand the range and suitability of Modular and Pre-fabricated accommodation solutions that could be available for deployment after natural disasters and emergencies. In some situations complete houses or housing units constructed off site may be able to be transported to areas of need. In other situations it may be necessary to rapidly ‘stand up’ modular house elements on site. MBIE is interested in understanding the full range of solutions that will provide quality, time, cost, sustainability and health and safety advantages.

MBIE is interested in options that provide self-contained solutions (accommodation that includes kitchens and bathrooms).
