For many new migrants (newcomers) access to reliable and accurate information about a range of topics related to living and working in New Zealand is invaluable. However, for some newcomer non-native speakers of English such information can be difficult to access. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) is seeking to work with the market to deliver services that help recent newcomers to settle, live and work in New Zealand. The required services are the provision of multi-lingual settlement information (MSI) programmes for newcomers from diverse language backgrounds. Immigration New Zealand is seeking the provision of reliable MSI services so these newcomers can confidently gain the information they need in their first language.
We are also seeking to appoint a provider to deliver the Chinese Settlement Information Programme (CSIP). This programme includes provision of information through workshops, seminars and face-to-face referrals for the large Chinese newcomer population that resides within the Auckland area, in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
