This RFT is issued by KiwiRail through its Infrastructure, Project Delivery Team for the purpose of engaging a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to carry out the physical works of Bridge 54 MPNL Pier 6 Renewal project.
The scope of this Contract covers the full physical renewal of Bridge 54 MNPL, including all associated temporary and permanent works required to complete construction in accordance with the issued design package and statutory requirements. The works include, but are not limited to, the following

Bridge Renewal Works – Pier 6 only
Refer to Drawings for relevant design elements and specifications. For General Notes refer to drawings 523957-W0001-BG-0001 and 0002
Existing Rail, Girder and ground levels to be confirmed on site by contractor prior to commencement of pile lengths to be modified to suit, in conjunction with Design Engineer (DSR)
Temporary Beam supports are to be designed by the Temporary Works Designer
Contractor is responsible for safeguarding the existing retaining structure during construction
Contractor to liaise with KiwiRail signals and Utility suppliers to protect/support any existing services (existing clear cable (Vodafone) running along right side of bridge)
