Overview
The main purpose of an Asset Investment Planning (AIP) tool is to use data-driven insights and predictive analytics to help KiwiRail make optimal, long-term capital (Renewal) expenditure and operational expenditure decisions for their physical assets. It is expected that these tools move KiwiRail to a strategic, proactive approach to managing their entire asset lifecycle, ensuring the best balance of capital and operating costs, opportunities, and risks against desired performance.
