KiwiRail operates a nationwide fleet of forklifts across multiple business units and 23 regional locations. These forklifts support essential rail maintenance, asset handling and operational activities involving sleepers, rail materials, wheelsets and other engineering components.

A number of existing forklifts are reaching end-of-life, prompting KiwiRail to review replacement options and explore the availability in the market of modern, safe, efficient and electric alternatives where suitable.

KiwiRail Holdings Limited is issuing this Request for Information "RFI" to seek information from the market to support in understanding delivery capacity across New Zealand, identifying service, indicative pricing and technology options available in the market.
