KiwiRail invites external organisations to submit their tenders ("RFT Response") to supply drainage, ducting and pavement upgrades for the North Auckland Line (NAL)
Culverts Renewal Phase 2 Works.

Following Cyclone Gabrielle, works were undertaken expeditiously to repair the formation and slips across the NAL. However, a significant number of storms affected culverts remain damaged across the line. This project sets out to identify and repair the damaged culverts to remove this risk to KiwiRail Operations and provide continuity of service to our customers.
The culverts planned to be renewed as part of this project tend to be simpler in design and at shallower depths, reducing the extent of excavations and risk including unforeseen ground conditions.
