One of the KiwiRail’s procurement categories – Fully maintained lease of portable gensets – is in time for review. This provides KiwiRail with an opportunity to explore current offerings available on the market and ascertain their ability to meet KiwiRail’s business needs.
One of the KiwiRail’s values – providing excellent customer experiences – is driving us to succeed in refrigerated products transportation.
While reviewing the category, we will be looking into different models with a view to select one which will meet our requirements best and provide value to our customers.
The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information from the market relating to supply and maintenance of portable gensets to KiwiRail including following options:
1. Supply of Portable Gensets (Purchasing)
2. Supply of Portable Gensets (Fully Maintained Lease)
3. Maintenance of Gensets (If purchased under Option 1)
and the indicative pricing for each.
It is intended that the information gained through the RFI will be used to inform a subsequent procurement process (i.e., whether to progress replacing existing model, and/or informing requirements for a further RFx). A decision whether to undertake a subsequent procurement process will be made following consideration of the responses to this RFI.
