The intent of the project is to construct the final section of double track main line between Trentham and Upper Hutt to realise additional operational capacity in the Wellington Metro Rail Network. The project will include the construction of 2.5km of main line, a new station platform, upgrades to existing station platforms, level crossing upgrades that may include grade separation, new traction overhead, integration with signals renewals, and upgrades to the Upper Hutt Station track layout.KiwiRail is seeking experienced suppliers to deliver multidisciplinary engineering services for the design of the project. We require suppliers with a strong track record, that have the capacity and capability to lead the technical design and provide support through the construction phase.
