Overview

Kapiti Coast District Council invites tenders for the construction of a new water main along Waitohu Valley Road in Ōtaki, as part of the proposed Waitohu Valley Reservoir project.

Scope of Works:
The contract includes the supply and installation of approximately 3,335 metres of 225OD PE100 SDR 13.6 watermain, including associated hydrants, valves, and all related works. This encompasses trenching, pipe bedding, backfilling, installation of fittings and valves, testing, commissioning, and reinstatement in accordance with the provided drawings and specifications.

The expected start date is late 2025 with a construction duration of 26 weeks.

Tenders will be evaluated using the weighted attributes method (30% non-price, 70% price).

Tenderers must meet the following preconditions to be considered:
- Health & Safety Accreditation. Tenderers must hold SiteWise Green Status (or higher), or an equivalent accreditation from an acceptable assessor (e.g. Tōtika, IMPAC Prequal).
- Financial Viability. A certified declaration of the tenderer’s financial viability must be submitted with the tender.
- Qualifications. Proposed personnel must hold: NZQA Level 3 Water Reticulation qualification, and A current PE welder’s certificate.
- Site Visit. Tenderers are required to visit the site to familiarise themselves with the location and conditions prior to submission. No appointment required.
