The Kapiti Coast District Council wishes to restore up to 38.05 ha of Council land into native forest over 10 years. We need a supplier or suppliers to provide a native forest restoration service. The extent of the work undertaken will be determined by available funding, which is a combination of Council’s own funding (from rates) and funding from the One Billion Tree (1BT) fund. Funding levels are likely to fluctuate over the term of contract and so too will the rate and scale of restoration work. Initially, a single supplier will be engaged. Additional suppliers may be engaged during the term if and when funding is available, and more capacity is needed. The supplier or suppliers will be contracted under Framework Agreements. The Framework Agreement will provide the overarching terms and conditions that will remain in place over the 10 years, but the actual contract commitments will be made on a site by site basis as funding allows, using Work Orders.
