The purpose of this RFT is to engage a suitably experienced construction contractor for the build of a dedicated Giraffe Barn at Hamilton Zoo.
Hamilton City Council seeks to enhance the welfare, housing, and long-term care of its giraffe population by developing a purpose-built facility that meets international standards for animal husbandry and zoo operations. The Giraffe Barn will support conservation efforts, improve visitor engagement, and provide a safe and sustainable environment for both animals and staff. The contract will be for a period sufficient to complete the project, with potential for further collaboration based on performance and future zoo infrastructure needs.
