Hamilton City Council will soon invite tenders for the construction of the Infrastructure Accelaration Fund (IAF) Reservoir and Pump Station.
The project involves the construction of a 25-megalitre treated water storage reservoir, associated pump station, valve chamber, electrical and control systems, and connections to the existing network. The facility is classified as an Importance Level 4 (IL4) asset, enabling development for approximately 4,000 homes in Hamilton’s central city.
This opportunity will be tendered as a traditional NZS 3910:2013 contract. The selected main contractor will be responsible for full construction delivery in accordance with the completed detailed design and consent documents. Construction is expected to begin in September 2026.
The Request for Tender (RFT) will be released on GETS in Q1 2026.
