This is a contract for This Request for Tender (RFT) invites suppliers to tender for the demolition of existing lift system to enable the supply and install of a new lift system at the Celebrating Age Building (CAC) located 30 Victoria Street, Hamilton. “Celebrating Age Lift Renewal” (the “Project”).
The Celebrating Age Centre (CAC) occupies a key central city site at the south end of Victoria St. Since 1979, it has been used by community groups serving older people and provides bookable space for the wider community. Hamilton City Council (HCC) is currently in the design phase for a renewal of this building. The lift is a key component that will be delivered concurrently but independently from the building renewal project.
The primary objective of the Celebrating Age Lift Renewal project is to enable the building to be occupied once again, providing space for community groups, users, and service providers. Ensuring compliant accessibility is a key element of this objective. It is expected that the successful tender will work alongside HCC and their preferred building supplier to align the physical works of both projects, ensuring a safe working environment and taking advantage of the facility being offline and in a construction phase.
