The purpose of this Notice is to provide advance notification to the market of the upcoming RFP for Detailed Design services relating to the proposed 4-lane Ruakura Eastern Transport Corridor (ETC) due for issue at the end of September 2023. The ETC will run from Ruakura Road northwards over the East Coast Main Trunk line (ECMT) and connect to an extension of Fifth Avenue. The Design scope will include pavement, intersections, stormwater, utility services and a significant bridge over the ECMT. The design phase is nominated for completion by Dec 2024, and will require a skilled and diverse team to deliver efficiently while working closely with the landowner Tainui Group Holdings, as well as mana whenua and stakeholders.

The RFP is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in late September 2023.
