Overview

The Principal (Hurunui District Council) is looking for a suitably qualified Contractor to undertake the construction of the proposed contract is for the installation of a new pumping main to replace the existing aging pipeline, starting at the existing line on Motunau Beach Road (approx. 350m south of Glendhu Road intersection) then heading south and finishing on Gardiners Road.

The main tasks involved in this Contract are:

The pipeline is approx. 3430m of DN180 PE100 PN16. The Hurunui District Council will supply the pipe, but the contractor must liaise with the pipe supplier for the timing of the pipe deliveries. The Contractor is to supply and install all valves, fittings, connections and to perform all required pipe welding Inc. any required welding test certs. The Contractor will also be responsible for all health, safety and environmental aspects of the project. The Contractor will be responsible for the reinstatement of all surfaces. There are three bridges on the proposed alignment, the bridge crossings will be completed by others. This contract will connect onto those bridge crossings.
