Overview

The project is located in Loburn, North Canterbury. The proposed contract is for the upgrade of watermain from Henrys Ford Road, along Loburn Whiterock Road and Hodgsons Road, and to connect on to existing watermains.

The installation of approximately 3,450 metres of DN180 PE100 PN12.5 polyethylene pipe, including approximately 500 metres of DN63 PE80 PN12.5 polyethylene pipe in a common trench. The installation of two DN180 road crossings, across Loburn Whiterock Road and Hodgsons Road, and the installation of four DN125 road crossings across Hodgsons Road. The project will also consist of valves, fire hydrants, gate valves, and connections to existing watermains in conjunction with the installation of new watermain, including testing, sterilisation and commissioning.

The Contractor is to supply and install all DN63 PE80 PN12.5 pipe and all ducting, valves, fittings, connections and to perform all required pipe welding. The Contractor shall also be responsible for all health, safety and environmental aspects of the project. The Contractor will be responsible for the instatement of all surfaces. The Hurunui District Council will supply the DN180 PE100 PN12.5, with the contractor to liaise with the pipe supplier for the timing and location of the pipe deliveries.
