What we need
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is looking to select and engage a developer to undertake a residential housing development on the site at Laurent Road, Cambridge.
The intent is to facilitate the supply of new dwellings in supply-constrained areas, including the supply of Public Housing and/or KiwiBuild dwellings. Therefore, we are looking for developers who can deliver over and above their existing pipeline. The development at Laurent Road must contain no less than 180 dwellings, of which at least 40% must be Public Housing and/or KiwiBuild homes.
The Successful Respondent/developer we select and engage will be accountable for:
• Delivering the design and construction work required to complete a ‘turn-key’ housing development on the land to meet all planning and consenting requirements
• Effectively and efficiently managing the process of selling the dwellings.
The Successful Respondent/developer will also bear all development risks such as regulatory approvals, financing, sales risks, construction costs and timing.

• A track record of successfully delivering land development projects of a comparable scale and scope to Laurent Road
• That they have (or will have) the capability and the capacity to deliver a land development project on the scale and scope of Laurent Road
