This RFP seeks to engage the market for Lead Designer services to support the nationwide implementation of the retrofit programme for FY27.

The purpose of the retrofit programme is to improve the condition and standard of Kāinga Ora’s existing housing portfolio, effectively extending the life of older homes and ensuring they meet modern living requirements.

Adopting the Housing Delivery Services model of 'fewer & deeper' together with a competitive tender process, this strategic opportunity will allow for greater procurement efficiency and stronger working relationships.
