About Kāinga Ora
The creation of the new delivery Crown agency Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities on 1 October 2019 marks the beginning of a step change in housing and urban development in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Kāinga Ora has two key roles:
- being a world-class public housing landlord; and
- partnering with the development community, Māori, local and central government, and others on urban development projects of all sizes.

Kāinga Ora will continue to provide the tenancy services that were previously provided by Housing New Zealand, as well as maintaining and developing its public housing stock and providing home ownership products and other services.

Business Objectives
A file analysis tool may contribute to the following:
- Risk assessments
- Privacy assessments
- Audits, including to inform data acquisition strategy
- Application of disposal policies to managed and unmanaged content
- Minimise storage and management costs
- Application of ROT rules (Redundant, Outdated or Trivial) and deduplication to reduce unstructured data
- Identify documents etc. that should be migrated into our EDRMS, SharePoint or other Platforms
- Prepare for and carry out migration of documents etc. into our EDRMS, SharePoint or other Platforms

Purpose
With this RFI Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities (Kāinga Ora) seeks information regarding products and services your company offers relevant to the subject detailed in this RFI. Kāinga Ora only seeks this information from suitably qualified and experienced organisations referred to in this document as suppliers (the use of this term does not infer a contract).
This RFI is being issued (openly) for Kāinga Ora to gain a better understanding of the number and type of suppliers and the range of solutions, technology and products or services available in the space.
The information sought may contribute to the completion by Kāinga Ora of a Procurement Plan that will enable Kāinga Ora to come to market and procure the required products and services. Issuing this RFI does not confirm that a procurement process will be undertaken in the future.
