Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities (Kainga Ora) are seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably qualified and experienced builders. This ROI is the first stage in a 2-stage procurement process.
We are seeking a main contractor who can design & construct a 10-storey apartment building, containing 25 new dwellings comprising 24 x 1 bed and 1 x 2 Bed with a community room. Estimated Design & Build cost is $12.2m.
70 Upper Queen Street is a compact site of 275m2, with a fall of 6m across the length of the site. The site is clear of above grade structures with the exception of a stone front boundary wall. The scope of works is inclusive of detailed design, site works, construction of a continuous deep pier boundary retaining wall, mains services connection and construction of the 10 Level apartment building on a small site.
The purpose of the ROI is to select a number of organisations who will be shortlisted / invited to respond to a Request for Proposals for a Design & Build contract based on NZS 3910:2013 with Kāinga Ora (Buyer) Special Conditions. It is anticipated the RFP (2nd stage) will be released in January 2022.
This ROI is for a Main Build Contractor only, we are NOT seeking responses from any sub-trades
